Using podcasts in the EFL classroom

In my session I want to address the use of 'talk radio' type podcasts using Absolutely Intercultural as one example. I have a feeling that such podcasts are not considered by teachers of lower level students and that they are seen mainly as material for advanced students. So I want to explore a few possibilities at different levels.

My aim is that the session should be more of a workshop than a presentation and I hope that I will also learn something either during the session itself or here in the forum from the other particiants.

Editing

One point I should have made yesterday in my session is that a good reason for editing the audio files is to edit out my own hesitations and inappropriate interruptions. It's a good thing that Skype records my own voice on a separate channel! Makes the whole job much easier.
